Elder-Well has been the best thing to happen to my relationship with my mom. I needed a place for her to go during the day, and mom needed to find a supportive community where she was around people her age. I have been so impressed with how much she has flourished since going regularly. I love Karen, Laura, and the team so much and am beyond grateful for the care they provide my mom. My mother came up from FLA to the area for several weeks this year as my sister went to visit her daughter and family in NH. Anyways I was looking for short.term day care while my wife and I worked from home and my daughter was at school. I contacted several places all said they did long term day care only or a few places did not even have the decency to call me back after leaving a message. Anyways I called Elder Well and spoke with the director Laura  and she said come down to take a tour. I came down not long after. I was explained both breakfast, lunch and snack is part of the 8:00 to 4:00 M-F besides this daily activities ranging games like bingo, puzzles, people coming into sing and play instruments also daily talks about a different subjects. My mother also several times a week she came home with various crafts that they had done. I gives tons of kudos to Kara the owner, Laura, and Karen all enthusiastic and caring toward all the people involved in the program. This is a clean, well organized program that meet the needs of the individual in the program. In all my visits picking up my mother I never saw a frown on anyone’s face.

My mother has been attending elderwell since September and absolutely loves it.  We find that she is up and about earlier on the days that she is heading to Elderwell and really enjoys the learning experiences that Elderwell provides.  We can’t wait to hear about her day when she gets home and see the newsletter with pictures of all the activities from the week.  She especially adores attending on Fridays when Charlie (the Elderwell family pup) is there.  We are so happy we found a day center with staff that make sure she feels so special and loved!

I seriously cannot get over what an incredible program Elder Well offers to its participants – they put so much into the lesson planning, it is always so creative and varied.  I rave to everyone about this program as it is so needed and almost too good to be true!  My family is so grateful for the warm and welcoming community at Elder Well.  We really enjoy getting the newsletters every week and all the photos so we feel like we’re there with you and part of the community too.

Elder-Well has been life-changing for our family. The warm staff work to fill everyday with crafts, activities, and laughter. Kara, Ken, Laura, Karen and others have continuously shown enthusiasm, patience, and compassion to my husband -I see the same being shown to the other attendees as well. We are so grateful for having found this amazing place – their program has allowed me to bring my husband somewhere fun and engaging on a daily basis, rather than having to have him sit at home while I work. Where our days used to be long (and often sad), they are now short and happy because he comes home tired from a day of engaging activities. Elder-Well has proven to be a very special place where I can take my husband to have a fun and safe day, every time – I cannot refer Elder-Well enough. Amazing!
